The LIPA Sixth Form College is a Free School for 16-18 year olds, funded by the Department for Education, and open to students from Liverpool, Merseyside and beyond.

We offer UAL (University of the Arts London) Level 3 Extended Diplomas courses in a range of creative and performing arts disciplines, leading to nationally recognised qualifications. We opened in September 2016.

Inspired by the purpose and achievements of The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, the College is one of a handful of further education providers in England to focus on the creative and performing arts.

We wish to appoint the following:

Careers & Progression Officer

37.5 hours p.w, 38 working weeks per year.

Salary: £21,414 – £23,334 p.a. pro rata

Actual Salary: £17,867 p.a. - £19,469 p.a. (inclusive of pro rata annual leave, bank holidays and efficiency days)

You will be expected to lead on the delivery of a quality CEIAG programme at LIPA Sixth Form College as well as enhance the learning experience of our students by engaging with them and increasing participation in a whole range of enrichment opportunities including cultural, social and personal development activities with the aim of ensuring that students' time at College is fulfilling and offers the broadest possible range of learning experiences.

You must have a degree and experience of working within an FE College, School or educational setting is essential.

You should have excellent and fluent communication skills and an understanding of current and developing career patterns within the performing arts.

Learning Support Assistant

37.5 hours p.w, 38 working weeks per year.

Salary: £18,189 – £20,836 p.a. pro rata

Actual Salary: £15,176 p.a. - £17,385 p.a. (inclusive of pro rata annual leave, bank holidays and efficiency days)

You will be expected to work with Lecturers in a collaborative way, contributing ideas and strategies, in meeting the personal, social and curriculum related needs of students, including those with special needs and/or bilingual needs.

You must have a full, level 3 qualification or the equivalent and a level 2 or the equivalent in literacy and numeracy. It would be advantageous if you held a performing arts related qualification at level 3.

You should have an excellent working knowledge of how young people can learn through performing arts and how young people with Special Educational Needs are supported. Ability to relate well to young people, as well as parents/carers is essential.

Experience of working in a relevant educational/service environment essential. You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Programme Manager: Acting

Full time £40,078 - £42,764 p.a.

As Programme Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic development of our Acting provision, providing the leadership for all courses within the designated programme area, including responsibility for the quality of the student experience, assessment and operational management of the area.

You will have professional/vocational training as a performer or director at degree level or equivalent. Evidence of sustained experience as a performer/ director/ practitioner in a professional context in theatre or recorded media is essential.

You will also possess significant experience of teaching within Further Education and evidence of successful curriculum development, leadership and management.
