LIPA Sixth Form College is a new Free School for 16-18 year olds, funded by the Department for Education, and open to students from Liverpool, Merseyside and beyond. Inspired by the purpose and achievements of The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA), LIPA Sixth Form College offers only University of the Arts London (UAL) Level 3 qualifications in acting, dance, music (both performance and technology), technical production arts and production design. Cleaning position

12.5 hours p.w. 37 weeks term-time 

£8.35 per hour plus holiday pay (£4,425.54 p.a.) 

We have a vacancy for a cleaner who is able to clean to a high standard, is reliable, hardworking, flexible and conscientious to join our established cleaning team.  You will support our teaching and performance activities in the Sixth Form College and must be available during the 37 term-time weeks. 

Training can be provided where necessary for applicants with limited experience. Hours of work are expected to be:

Monday - Friday 

6.00am – 8.30am  (Optional 5.00am start), 12.5 hrs per week, 2:30 hours per day.

 Essentials requirements 

· Ability to meet LIPA standards in cleaning and attendance;

· Must be reliable;

· Must be able to obtain DBS clearance satisfactory to LIPA Sixth Form  College;

· Ability to work un-supervised;

· Flexibility in working times;

· Conscientious;


Due to this being a 37 week term-time positions, you are not allowed to take holidays during Sixth Form term-time.

Initially, the equivalent of 22 days pro rata in addition to pro rata bank holidays and extra efficiency days (normally 3 per year), rising to 25 days pro rata after three completed years of service, and rising to 27 days pro rata after five completed years of service.  These days are converted into pay and added to the annual salary below.

Salary is equivalent to:

£8.35 per hour plus pro rata holiday and bank holiday converted into pay. 

This equates to an annual salary of £4,425.54 p.a. split equally over 12 months, paid on a monthly basis.

Please note that as the successful candidate would be starting part way through the Sixth Form year, your monthly salary will reflect the fact that there will be less working weeks between Feb – Aug 2018.
