Tribute to Rosa Taylor

We are heartbroken to hear of the passing of Rosa Taylor.

Rosa graduated from LIPA Sixth Form College in Summer 2023, and it was clear to us all what an exceptional young woman she was. She was vibrant, talented and deeply loved by all who knew her. Her spirit, kindness and incredible talent left a mark on all of us that will never fade.

Since graduating from the college, Rosa had continued to develop as a Musical Theatre star and was set to deepen her craft by starting a degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire this summer. The world has lost an immense talent, who was only just getting started.

We have collected a few personal tributes from some of our staff who had the honour of teaching Rosa. Their words speak to the profound impact that she had on our college community:

“I’ll never forget the first time I taught Rosa. I had never seen energy like it, she was a beam of light in every room she entered. Always smiling, always striving to be the best performer she could be. She radiated talent and beauty, inside and out. The Musical Theatre community has lost one of its brightest spirits, and I feel so lucky to have witnessed her passion and joy. She will never be forgotten 💔” - Beckie Price

“Rosa was an absolute joy to teach, so hilariously funny and authentically herself. Her positivity and warmth was infectious and she shone within everything she did, every performance, every dance class. I feel honoured to have watched her grow into the incredible performer and young woman she was. She was a fabulous friend to so many and loved by us all 🤍” - Abbie Coughlan

“Rosa was the definition of a ‘pocket rocket!’ Small in stature, but mighty in enthusiasm, energy, and radiated love ❤️ Her friends flocked to her and admired her triple threat abilities and the teachers entrusted her with any task, performing it to the highest standard and with a beaming smile. A true professional who truly was a joy to work with. In every way she oozed star quality and will be the brightest star looking down on us. 🌟” - Carmel Moss

Our thoughts are with Rosa’s family, friends, and all the staff and students in the LIPA Sixth Form College community who knew and loved Rosa.
