Study

Our highly practical courses have been designed to meet the demands of the creative and performing arts industry, whether your interest is in performing or making performance possible.

You will study one pathway from one of the following two-year University of the Arts (UAL) Extended Diploma courses:

Each course is equivalent to three A-Levels and balances theory and practice in an engaging and inspirational way.

Study programme

As you progress, you will explore and develop your interests and abilities, by applying your creativity and ambition to a wide range of realistic, practical project-based learning opportunities. You will also improve your skills in critical analysis and take increasing responsibility for your learning. At the same time, you will build your professional profile for future work.

Throughout your course, you will be continually assessed and receive regular feedback and homework from tutors. Successful completion of your studies gives you the skills and knowledge to progress to studying in Higher Education or to go straight into employment.

You will also follow an Employment, Enrichment and Pastoral programme, which will support your studies by offering a range of opportunities to get involved in extra-curricular activities and develop your employability skills and social, moral and cultural wellbeing.

The depth, breadth and challenge of the curriculum for our courses is intense and it is for this reason that we have decided not to offer additional qualifications such as A-Levels.

Maths and English

We have woven activities and assignments into our curriculum, which encourage all of our students to continue to develop their communication and mathematical skills. Although we expect our students to have achieved grade 9-4/A*-C in Maths and English GCSE before they join us, some students enrol without these grades so we support you to retake these as part of your study programme.
