Can You Dance? 2019

LIPA Sixth Form College (LSFC) has been invited to perform for a second time at the Can You Dance? Super Convention at Liverpool’s M&S Arena on 19 and 20 October 2019.

LSFC Dance lecturer Karl Newsam says they’re delighted to be asked back. “This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to get professional-level experience of performing and to meet students from a range of other dance backgrounds.”

Students have been working hard on a collaborative dance piece with lead choreographers Jenny Rees and Abbie Coughlan. They’ll be performing on the main stage on both days of the convention – on Saturday between 11am and 12pm, and on Sunday between 12pm and 12.30pm.

Not only is the dance department performing, but they will also have an exhibition stand by the main stage, offering the opportunity to meet the college’s teaching staff and talk about the range of courses on offer at LSFC.

There will also be a masterclass at 10.30am in Studio 7 on Sunday – led by Karl Newsam, the masterclass is an opportunity for students to experience a Musical Theatre Jazz workshop and gain an insight into how the course is taught at LSFC.
