Staff

Our teaching staff are all industry experienced. They understand, and have links to, the sector you aspire to work in. They can help you reach the standards expected and introduce you to the behaviour and discipline required. 

Among our tutors

Our Acting department consists of performers, writers, theatre makers and directors who have worked in theatre, television, community drama and audio, in Liverpool and across the country. 

Our Dance team are all specialised teachers in the styles and all have professional experience ranging from performing in contemporary dance companies, to cabaret, cruise ships and the West End. Our staff are still active teaching, choreographing and performing in the dance industry. 

Our Design for Performance team consists of LIPA (HE) alumni who are experienced industry professionals. They have worked in a variety of professional settings, including theatre, live events, arts festivals in education, exhibitions and galleries such as Tate Liverpool. The team are all experienced teachers and continue to work freelance in the North West. 

Our Music team consists of performers, writers and sound technicians who work regularly across a wide range of musical genres, and includes a GRAMMY-nominated musician.

Our Musical Theatre team are all specialist teachers who have a wealth of professional experience in their taught discipline, with most staff having worked in the West End. The team all actively still work in industry roles such as director, choreographer and vocal coaches. 

Our Technical Theatre team consists of LIPA (HE) alumni who are experienced industry professionals. They have worked in a variety of professional settings, including, theatre, live events and cruise ships. The team are all experienced teachers and continue to work Freelance in the North West. 

Lyndsey Healey

Assistant Principal: Inclusion/SENCO

With over twenty years of experience in education, Lyndsey has established herself as a committed and compassionate leader in the field. As a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, she is dedicated to ensuring that every student, regardless of their needs or background, has access to an inclusive, supportive, and safe learning environment. Lyndsey's approach is rooted in a strong track record of working with a diverse range of students, developing individualized learning plans, and implementing strategies that enhance students' learning experiences and ensure their progress. Her commitment extends beyond academic achievement to fostering a safeguarding culture where students' safety, welfare, and emotional well-being are top priorities. Before transitioning to her current role, Lyndsey had a diverse and impactful career in dance. She worked as a choreographer, performer, and youth arts practitioner on a national level, engaging with students from primary age through to higher education. Her choreographic work includes productions for the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, the BBC, regional fashion shows, charity events, and educational productions. As a performer, Lyndsey has collaborated with Encompass Graduate Dance Company, Inclusion Dance Company, the Heartstone Project, Chilli Disk Records, Stark Dancers, and Ballet Entredanza. Her site-specific work includes a collaboration with artist David Moulson and dance for film with Productions North. Lyndsey's passion for using the arts to empower and inspire young people is evident in her work. Her expertise in youth arts provides her with a deep understanding and sensitivity towards the different external factors that can affect students' learning. This unique blend of experience in education and the arts allows her to approach her role with creativity, empathy, and a commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of students.
