Staff

 Our teaching staff are all industry experienced. They understand, and have links to, the sector you aspire to work in. They can help you reach the standards expected and introduce you to the behaviour and discipline required. 

Among our tutors: 

Our Acting department consists of performers, writers, theatre makers and directors who have worked in theatre, television, community drama and audio, in Liverpool and across the country. 

Our Dance team are all specialised teachers in the styles and all have professional experience ranging from performing in contemporary dance companies, to cabaret, cruise ships and the West End. Our staff are still active teaching, choreographing and performing in the dance industry. 

Our Design for Performance team consists of LIPA (HE) alumni who are experienced industry professionals. They have worked in a variety of professional settings, including theatre, live events, arts festivals in education, exhibitions and galleries such as Tate Liverpool. The team are all experienced teachers and continue to work freelance in the North West. 

Our Music team consists of performers, writers and sound technicians who work regularly across a wide range of musical genres, and includes a GRAMMY-nominated musician.

Our Musical Theatre team are all specialist teachers who have a wealth of professional experience in their taught discipline, with most staff having worked in the West End. The team all actively still work in industry roles such as director, choreographer and vocal coaches. 

Our Technical Theatre team consists of LIPA (HE) alumni who are experienced industry professionals. They have worked in a variety of professional settings, including, theatre, live events and cruise ships. The team are all experienced teachers and continue to work Freelance in the North West. 

Tim Lynskey

Teacher of Acting

Tim has a BA in Drama & Theatre Studies with Fine Art & Design along with 15 years’ experience in teaching in Further and Higher Education. He has extensive experience as a performer, workshop leader, community and youth arts practitioner, playwright and director. A graduate of the Hope Street Physical Theatre Programme and the Everyman Playwrights’ Programme, he has toured the UK with award-nominated shows. Tim’s specialism is physical theatre and devising, which he has taught at both BTEC and A-Level, and to which he brings a high energy, high momentum approach. He believes in making education a worthwhile, enjoyable and rewarding experience for all.
